The relocation of the train station in Davos Dorf enables a redesign of the town center. An underground path axis for pedestrians and cyclists creates a direct and safe connection from the Parsennbahn to the train station and the new mixed-use area. Quality open spaces are created by freeing part of the promenade from through traffic. The new train station will have a spacious forecourt with bus station, plaza area with tree canopy and zones for deliveries and parking. The magnificent spa park with curved paths, trees and a lake will offer recreational opportunities, a children's playground and space for events. The station square will become a meeting place with seating under trees, a village fountain and outdoor catering. The promenade becomes an inviting promenade with playable areas for various activities.

The design aims for climate-adapted urban development, with sustainable planting sites, cooling green spaces, and renaturalization of the riverfront. The mixed residential area will have an urban structure and optimal sunlight. Areas capable of infiltration will be created to absorb rainwater. The open space concept has a high ecological value and contributes to the well-being of the population of Davos and visitors.
