Lüssi-Göbli site

The plain was once made usable by farmers through intensive drainage pipes. We have brought back the stream, which had been culverted in this way, and made it an identity-forming element of the area in a near-natural way.

At the foot of the Zugerberg, where the built-up valley plain merges into the agricultural landscape, the Lüssi/Göbli site is located on the edge of the settlement on the municipal border between Zug and Baar. Foothills of forests and creeks connect the area, which is currently used for agriculture, with the recreational landscape of the Zugerberg.
In the context of the new residential development, the previously piped Arbach was reopened up to its crossing under the Göblistrasse. A gently meandering, easily accessible stream with lush planting of alders, willows and embankments with tall herbaceous plants and wet meadows gives the new neighbourhood a special character. A pond-like widening is created in the area of the new neighbourhood square. The stream can be experienced and played with via large steps. Shaded seating is available for visitors. The intended opening up of the Arbach will not only enhance the ecological value of the area, but will also focus on the themes of recreation, play and experience.

The stream, the neighbourhood park and the footpaths form the basic framework of the open spaces of the new residential buildings. These live from their natural character on the one hand, and on the other from the high density of use in the form of access, play and recreation areas. High-quality open space in the form of living space for people, flora and fauna.
